This lovely little rustic, hammered sterling silver cross necklace is a true handmade treasure. The simple dimpled effect shows off the highly polished finish and reflects the light as the necklace moves. The cross hangs from a 45 cm (18 inch) sterling silver chain.

I created the cross entirely by hand from sterling silver sheet using traditional silversmithing techniques. After hand piercing out the shape of the cross I added the dimpled texture with a jeweller's hammer. I finished the piece by adding a bail and then filing, sanding and polishing. Each cross will be very slightly different due to the handcrafted nature of the piece.

As I handmake all the jewellery please ensure you follow these tips to care for your new pieces:
-Please try to keep jewellery from having contact with items such as perfumes (add perfume before adding jewellery), hairsprays, cream, cleaning fluids and soap as these may tarnish the metal.
-To help reduce tarnish please gently wipe jewellery with a soft cloth before putting away and store in a re-sealable plastic bag when not wearing.
